The Hunger Games fan's best media friend, Russ Bowen, from WLOS in Asheville, brought us another report yesterday about where the filming for the arena will be taking place. Now, here's video of his news report. The video is not embeddable, but you can see it by clicking here.
Work on the 75 million dollar film "The Hunger Games" is well underway across Western North Carolina including here in Buncombe County. News-13 has learned film crews will use part of the North Fork Reservoir in Black Mountain. The city will allow the production company to use the area but they have to follow strict guidelines because of a conservation easement. An environmental monitor will be on site as well. Dupont State Forest is also being used for the movie. None of the areas will be accessible to the public.
